COVID-19 Update

2/20/21

To help prevent the virus from spreading to people in close proximity, the CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings when social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. We have provided our clinicians with face masks and use when social distancing cannot be maintained, and continue to reinforce hand hygiene, cleaning, and screening measures to keep both our patients and our staff safe during this time.

Our Commitment to Keeping Patients and Employees Safe

Physical Therapy services is one of the essential healthcare services that has been permitted and encouraged to continue to operate in order to keep our patients healthy and out of hospital and emergency room settings that cannot currently handle the capacity. We want to take the opportunity to share more details about the comprehensive measures our clinics have implemented while we remain open, including the option for in home services.

Screening Procedures

We have digital thermometers for our clinic and they are in the process of being delivered. Prior to receiving treatment, we will offer to perform a temperature check using a no touch infrared thermometer. In addition, every patient will be asked screening questions to determine: (i) if you have symptoms of fever, cough or shortness of breath; (ii) if you have traveled to countries in the past 14 days that have a level 3 travel warning (per the CDC)* and/or have been on a cruise, or; (iii) if you have had close contact with a person confirmed to have the COVID-19 coronavirus. If the answer is yes to any of the questions, our staff will work to reschedule your appointment. The CDC has also identified certain populations that are higher risk for serious illness from COVID-19. For example, we have special procedures in place for older adults and those with serious chronic medical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, or lung disease. If you have any doubts about whether you should attend a scheduled appointment, please call the clinic before arriving for your visit.

Limiting the Number of Visitors

We are limiting the number of people to one family member with per visit. This includes children at this time in order to follow social distancing guidelines.

Protecting You in the Clinic

More frequent cleaning with CDC-approved cleaning agents is our top priority. We continue to emphasize and commit to the importance of keeping facilities sanitized. Our employees are practicing good hand hygiene and we are continuing to stock our facilities with supplies in order to meet this expectation. In addition, we are asking our clinics to properly space equipment, such as treatment tables, to best comply with CDC recommendations about how to administer safe patient care in a clinical setting.
