Meet Kyle

Kyle Knutson PT, DPT, Cert. DN

Kyle is a native of Kathryn, ND. Following his undergraduate degree at North Dakota State University, Kyle received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Minnesota in 2021. He then went on to complete a Sports Physical Therapy Residency at the University of North Dakota where he received specialty training in the rehabilitation of athletes. His primary patient population was varsity athletes at UND from football, hockey, basketball, and more. In March he will be eligible to take the exam to become a Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist.

His areas of clinical specialty include dry needling which he received full certification in the spring of 2022. He also has training in the use of instrument assisted soft tissue massage, cupping, and joint mobilization in addition to spinal and extremity manipulations. Kyle is a firm believer in preventative PT-finding strength and mobility deficits and addressing them prior to the occurrence of pain and injury. This is especially relevant in athletic populations due to the high intensity and repetitive forces that sports put on the body.

In his free time Kyle enjoys running, weightlifting, golfing, and water sports and he is currently training for an Ironman triathlon. He and his wife RaeLyn live in south Fargo with their golden retriever Teddy. They are season ticket holders and avid tailgaters for Bison football. When it isn't football season they enjoy spending time at the lake.
